The Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has described the death of the late Ndaiji Nupe, Alhaji Abubakar Dyadya as a great loss to Nupe land.
The Etsu Nupe was reacting to the demise of the former elder statesman shortly after the funeral prayer at Maasaba Juma’at Mosque.
He said the late Ndaiji was a pious, philanthropic, patriotic and peace-loving man adding that the death was a big blow and colossal loss to the entire emirate.
“The entire kin Nupe has lost a great peace promoter, a rare gem and a great leader who ensures peaceful co-existence among the different ethnic groups in the area.
The late Ndaiji Nupe was a peace maker, promoter of peace, a bridge builder and he had also contributed a lot to the development of not only the emirate but to the state and the country in general,” he declared.
Alhaji Abubakar condoled the immediate family of the late Alhaji Dyadya, and prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased Aljanna firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
LEADERSHIP Sunday reports that the late Ndaiji Nupe was among the frontline kingmakers of Bida Emirate from the Ndaiji Aminu dynasty.
Meanwhile the Bariki Celebration that usually mark the 5th day of Sallah by the Etsu Nupe has been postponed in respect of demise of the frontline kingmaker.
