Zamfara Suspends Community Guards’ Commandant

Zamfara State government has suspended the commandant of the state Community Protection Guards (CPG) Colonel Rabiu Garba (rtd).

The suspension was contained in a statement signed by the secretary to the state government (SSG) Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada.

He said, “This is to inform the general public that the Zamfara State government has suspended the appointment of Colonel Rabiu Garba as state commandant of the State Protection Guards.

“The suspension takes immediate effect,” he said.

Although no reason was given for his suspension, it could be connected with the radio live programme he featured on Monday where he accused the state government of poor funding of the CPG.
