The registrar of the university, Blessing Ibebunjo stated this while speaking to newsmen in her office, saying the gesture is part of the university’s corporate responsibilities.

She advised the students to live up to the expectations of their parents, guardians, and the society to justify the gesture by studying hard and being of good behaviour.

The registrar announced that based on request by prospective students, the university authority had approved the conduct of examination for the second phase of the scholarship.

Contributing, the chairman of the university’s 2023/2024 Scholarship Committee and the dean of faculty of social science, Paul Mbakwe said the criteria for selecting the students was transparent.
