The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers(NUPENG) has charged members of the union on maintaining one indivisible and united union.

The appeal for unity became imperative following the alleged move by some members to bring confusion through leadership tussle within the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD)

One of the concerned members in PTD, Comrade Babalola Bolaji, who made the call, also cited the struggle by certain members for control of the leadership of PTD as reason for his appeal.

According to Bolaji, the main focus of NUPENG should be sustained smooth supply of petroleum products across the country and welfare of members in cordial relationships rather than allowing struggle for control of the union to tear them apart.

“The call is necessary in order to avoid the dangerous dimension which some members are introducing into the union. The union may have a setback if a crisis is allowed to take place.
