“I visited different spots that sell different meals, and some people on the live video said they didn’t know some of the spots existed. I see the GWR as a medium to use to propel and touch on different things.  I want to use this opportunity to thank my sponsors, team, family and friends. I want to also thank the Abuja food community for their support.

Speaking on his movement to locations, he appealed to the Ministry of Transportation to modernise transportation in Nigeria.

“The major issue I had was with transportation. We didn’t have any public transportation system with receipts that showed we went from Gwarinpa to Wuse, which is part of the requirements of GWR, and that made me trek that whole distance. I know the traditional ones that work like the ‘Kabu Kabu’, but I think the Ministry should look into creating a more modern form of transportation, it will help in security and accountability. I also want to appeal to the government to look into empowering SMEs most especially the smaller businesses with modern day technology to enable them grow.”

On his next line of action, Brian said that the next phase is going into charity. “There is a charity aspect to this. I am going to be collaborating with most of the restaurants I visited to give out food resources to members of the community who really need it starting this week.”

While advising small businesses, he said “As a food content creator, I will advise every restaurant to have an online presence to help increase their visibility. No matter what you sell, be it roadside Akara, bole, buka, try and have some online visibility because people are more inclined to look on their phones for things.”

The CEO of A.S. Management Agency (the management agency behind the quest), Rhoda Kusimo, expressed disappointment that in this 21st century some businesses are not registered on Google.

She called on the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to provide the needed support and environment for SMEs to thrive, expressing delight that Brian used the opportunity to register over 100 businesses on Google map for easy patronage.

Also speaking, the Project Manager, Edoh Franklin, said the team is working to meet GWR standards by providing the GPS, live map tracking, log book, and other evidence to GWR adjudicators for assessment.

On her part, the Director, Media Evidence, The Kaine Kranda Show, Didi Esther, said the cameras used for the quest had live tracking and will be uploaded to GWR once the evidence and audience are compiled.

She however said some of the business locations visited were in inaccessible places and getting low patronage, but assured that they will receive a boost with the quest by Brian.
