Gov Bala Mohammed Promises Result-driven Civil Service

Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has said his administration would ensure that the state’s civil service remains vibrant and result-oriented through seamless delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people.

The governor made the pledge yesterday when he addressed celebrants at this year’s International Workers’ Day at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

He said no stone would be left unturned in the administration’s resolve to reposition the civil service and restore its lost glory.

Represented by his deputy, Auwal Jatau, the governor believed that Bauchi is one of the   best among the 36 states in the country in terms of support to civil service.

He pledged to continue to extend hands to the civil servants as he has been doing, and explained that the recent provision of wage award and restoration of the payment of annual leave grant to workers is a deliberate attempt at providing succour to civil servants.

The head of service (HoS), Yahuza Adamu, appreciated Governor Mohammed for more investment in the civil service and tasked the workers to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the present administration in the state to succeed in the implementation of policies and programmes.

Earlier, the state NLC chairman, Comrade Dauda Shuaibu, expressed gratitude to the governor for the payment of N10,000 wage award to all workers in the state and urged him to sustain it so as to alleviate the current economic challenges being experienced by workers.
