Bago disclosed this in Bida during a dinner organised in his honour by the Niger South Stakeholders Forum at the weekend in Bida.

The governor said the world is evolving in terms of technology and Niger State needs to be in tune and not be left behind, acknowledging the great potential.

He advised people of the state to make optimal use of the potential for their good and that of the state.
He disclosed that the state government would not be intimidated by anyone in its quest to improve infrastructure, pointing out that Bida would be developed, and called for support and cooperation.

The governor specifically recognised Lavun local government council chairman, Isah Mohammed, for his commitment and development efforts in the area and promised to continue to support him for greater service delivery while urging other council chairmen to emulate him.

Meanwhile, the governor has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the 5 kilometer township road in Mokwa, Edati and Lavun local government areas as he reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots transformation.

He cautioned those engaging in tree felling to desist from it, disclosing that the flag-off of the $20 million tree planting project would be done in Mokwa to address deforestation and that assessment was being carried out for lasting solutions to environmental hazards.

He also advised residents of the area on the use of life jackets before boarding boats, pointing out that there would be repercussions for those who go against the law.
