The DG made this known while addressing management and staff of the agency on assumption of office on Monday in Abuja.

He said, “We will deepen the mandate of this agency, and explore the full potentials of the NESREA Establishment Act 2007 (as amended) and ensure we provide more innovate approaches, such that we use the opportunity given to us to do the right thing, not just for ourselves, but for the nation and posterity.

“We will increase the capacity for public orientation, boost our revenue generation for the government, and also work with our external partners to achieve the mandate of the Agency.”

Dr. Barikor thanked President Bola Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him, and assured that under his administration, the agency will exceed expectations of Nigerians in terms of safeguarding the environment.
