In addition, the Embassy of Spain is supporting the fair with the return of Madrid-based chef extraordinaire, Alex Marugan, and his team, who will once again facilitate a culinary masterclass for culinary schools and professional chefs in Lagos on May 26, and in Abuja on May 29, 2024.

Other activities scheduled at the gastronomy fair include a live cakemaking competition, a music performance, a gala and award night to recognize and induct Fellows of the Institute (FHTI) for their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism sector.

Established in 2021, the Gastronomy Fair is an annual fiesta aimed at bridging the gap in the dearth of skilled gastronomy and culinary personnel in Nigeria’s hospitality industry. The fair attracts over 5000 visitors annually.
