Barcelona have sacked head coach Xavi Hernandez, with Hansi Flick primed to take over.
It had been thought that Xavi’s future would be discussed after Barca’s last game of the season on Sunday, but it now looks inevitable he will be replaced.
A post by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X handle (Formerly Twitter) stated.
“Xavi has been sacked, also directly informed by Barcelona President Joan Laporta. Hansi Flick set to become new Barca head coach soon.”
It’s being reported Flick will sign a one-year deal with the option of a second.
The former boss is said to be ‘crazy’ about the idea of becoming Barca boss and it now seems he will get his dream move to the Catalan giants.
