Nigeria’s Oshoala Wins UEFA Women’s Champions League Goal Of The Season

Asisat Oshoala’s stunning bicycle kick for her former club Barcelona on matchday 1 against Benfica, has been picked as 2023/24 UEFA Women’s Champions League Goal of the Season.

The Nigerian’s strike was picked as the best among the top 10 goals selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel.

The reigning CAF Women’s Player of the Year’s former teammate at Barcelona, Aitana Bonmatí took second spot for her bending effort in the quarter-final second-leg win against Brann.

While Lyon’s Delphine Cascarino came third for her long-range strike in the quarter-final second-leg victory over Benfica.

Despite exiting Barcelona for BAY FC in the US, Oshoala got a medal Champions League winners medal after Barcelona beat Lyon in the final.
