NPC Ex-Secretary, Nwosu To Be Buried June 28

A former executive secretary of Nigerian Press Council (NPC) Francis Nwosu has died, aged 69, after a brief illness.

The family disclosed that his remains would be interred on June 28, 2024 in Umuezeoma Ohuhu Umuahia, Abia State.

A statement signed by Chinedu Nwosu on behalf of the family said the renowned journalist died last month, adding that burial arrangements kicked off with a service of songs at Embraze Events Centre, Biazhin Road beside Bagangizo, Kubwa, Abuja on June 12.

“With total submission to the will of God and immense gratitude for a life well spent, we announce the transition to the glory of our beloved father, husband, brother, son-in-law and grandfather,” the family said in a statement.

The statement added that a Christian wake keep had been scheduled to take place on June 27, 2024 at the deceased’s private residence in Uhuala Oriendu, Ohuhu Umuahia of Abia State.

The body will leave City Gate Mortuary on June  28 to his maternal home in Umuda Isingwu and later proceed for a funeral service  at St Mathias Anglican Church Uhala/Umuezeoma Ohuhu Umuahia, Abia State.
