Foundation Trains 120 Youths, Women On ICT In Bida

Bida-based Gboyako Foundation in Niger State has equipped 120 unemployed youths and women in Information Communications Technology (ICT) skills.

The graduation and presentation of the certificate to the participants took place at ASUP Auditorium Hall, Federal Polytechnic, Bida.

The foundation’s director, SP Adamu Shaba Gboyako, said the gesture was part of his contribution to reducing rising unemployment in the state and the country.

Gboyako said that the training was part of efforts to empower the trainee with the hard and soft skills required to break even in the contemporary technology-driven world.

He said the training would help them to be productive to themselves, most especially now that the world thrives on technology.

Gboyako said the beneficiaries were selected from all the Nupe-speaking local government areas from across the state.

He said more people in the state would benefit from the next phase of the project, explaining that the graduates had been equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in the digital age.

The chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule, a former Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, expressed gratitude to the foundation’s founder for developing the youth to thrive in the economy.
