WINBAFRICA Urges NGOs To Support Local Communities

WINBAFRICA, the African Women Foundation for Nation Building, has underscored the need for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across Africa to engage more deeply with their communities.

They made this call during the 2024, Children’s Day celebration in Apomu Osun State.

They highlighted the ongoing economic challenges impacting African children’s welfare and standard of living,

Founded in 2014 by Dr Bukola Bello Jaiyesimi, an entrepreneur and pan-Africanist dedicated to women’s issues, WINBAFRICA aims to transform African society by supporting women through various projects. During the event, the foundation introduced two key initiatives: the WINBAFRICA Food Bank and the WINBAFRICA Back-To-School Project.

In her address at the celebration, Dr. Jaiyesimi called on women, governments, and NGOs worldwide to invest in their communities.

She emphasized that such collaborations are crucial for opening new opportunities for cooperation, growth, and development, ultimately improving the standard of living for children who have significant potential for nation-building.

The event was organized by Olori Janet Afolabi, showcased WINBAFRICA’s commitment to enhancing children’s lives and reinforced the importance of community involvement in fostering positive change across the African continent.
