The judge’s husband, Dr Musa Gimba, who confirmed the release, said the children were held back in the kidnappers’ den.

Gimba, who is a medical doctor said the bandits are demanding N150 million ransom for the release of the remaining children within three days while threatening to kill them if their demands are not met.
The Kaduna State police command’s spokesperson, Mansir Hassan ASP, said the hoodlums killed the 14-year-old eldest son of the judge, Victor.

He said operatives found Victor’s corpse at Ungwan Bayero, Duste village along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The police spokesman said in the wake of the incident, the command and other sister security agencies are working tirelessly to rescue the victims and arrest the terrorists.
The Kaduna State branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, disclosed that the bandits kidnapped the judge and her four children on June 23, 2024.

The chairman of the branch, Godwin Ochai, said that on Tuesday, the terrorists killed the 14-year-old first son of the judge when the ransom demanded could not be paid.
He had called on the Nigerian security agencies and the governor of Kaduna State to the urgency of the moment for the protection of the lives of the judge and her children and to ensure justice was served.
