Aiyedatiwa, speaking through the state’s Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, directed that students should log on to the loan portal: nelf.gov/ng. to register for the loan.

The Commissioner, while speaking in Akure, noted that Governor Ayedatiwa urged every indigent student of the state to benefit from the Federal Government’s loan scheme meant for students in tertiary institutions across the country.

According to him, NELFUND, was introduced by the government of President Bola Tinubu, and passed into law in June 2023 to ensure that no Nigerian student is denied access to education and providing succour to the students in payment of school fees.

The Commissioner said disbursement of the loan to beneficiaries will commence next week, as such, pleading with students of the state origin to urgently register for the scheme.
