Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has appealed to indigent students of the state in tertiary institutions across the country to urgently apply for the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

Aiyedatiwa, speaking through the state’s Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, directed that students should log on to the loan portal: nelf.gov/ng. to register for the loan.

The Commissioner, while speaking in Akure, noted that Governor Ayedatiwa urged every indigent student of the state to benefit from the Federal Government’s loan scheme meant for students in tertiary institutions across the country.

According to him, NELFUND, was introduced by the government of President Bola Tinubu, and passed into law in June 2023 to ensure that no Nigerian student is denied access to education and providing succour to the students in payment of school fees.
