TUC President Lauds Women In PENGASSAN

The national president, Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo has lauded the women wing of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, (PENGASAN) for their contribution to the growth of the oil and gas industry.

Osifo, who is also the national president of PENGASSAN, gave this commendation during a dinner and award night marking the end of 2024 Annual Convention of the women wing of the association.

Tagged, “PENGASSAN Women Annual Convention PWAC 2024” with the theme: The Dynamic Woman: Navigating challenges in a constantly evolving world.

Osifo explained that the event was a celebration of women in PENGASSAN, stressing that “Women have contributed to the growth of the oil and gas industry”.

The TUC President clarified that “for the last two days, we have been celebrating them and we have put their issue in the forefront. The issues of women such as their career and capacity building; their training, and how to attain excellence in the oil and gas industry.

That is what we have discussed in the last two days. So I wish the entire women of the oil and gas well in all their endeavours!

Leadership gathered that the women wing of PENGASSAN presented commendation awards to deserving personalities both within and outside the association.

Some of the award recipients including the wife of the TUC President, Mrs. Glory Osifo, represented by Joy Eze; National Secretary, PENGASSAN Commission, Mrs. Chidinma Anyanwu and the immediate past President of the association, Comrade Faith Osoroh expressed delight that they were found worthy of the award by the association.
