He added that the patriotic people of Kebbi must thank Almighty Allah for having Idris as their governor because he made Kebbi, the state capital to answer to its name (Birnin Kebbi).

The ALGON chairman made this assertion when he addressed journalists in his office in Birnin Kebbi.

Ambursa, the APC candidate for Birnin Kebbi local government area in the forthcoming council election, said he is contesting the poll to contribute his vast experience, having worked in different offices in local government administration, to move Birnin Kebbi council and the state forward.

He said, “ I have 35 years of local government service and obtained all my qualifications in local government administration, and I think there is a need to contribute my knowledge and experience together in the development of local government administration and Kebbi State as a whole.”

On the recent flag-off of the distribution of fertiliser free to farmers by the governor, the ALGON boss explained that the governor had instructed them to share the bags of fertiliser with all polling units across the state so that it reaches those who voted for the present government of the state.

According to him, the governor instructed 35 bags of fertiliser to be given to each of the 3,745 polling units in the 21 local government areas of the state.

He noted that Birnin Kebbi council has the highest number, with 345 polling units.

He said that the governor warned them that any local government aspirant who refused to comply with the fertiliser sharing formula would be disqualified before the election.
