Community leaders in Dutse, Gahwetun, Tikari, Rogo and Manya in Takum areas of Taraba State have lauded efforts of the member representing Takum/Ussa/Donga federal constituency, Hon. Mark Useni, on his efforts to ensure that National Emergency Management (NEMA) provides food assistance to victims of windstorm in Takum.

NEMA had provided food items to the communities affected by the recent windstorm in Takum which rendered several households homeless.

LEADERSHIP Weekend learnt the NEMA intervention was in response to a request by Hon. Mark Useni to the NEMA director-general,  Mrs Zubaida Umar when Useni visited her to intimate her on the matter in his constituency.

The councilor representing Manya ward, Hon. Useni Ezra who spoke to our correspondent on behalf of the communities stated that the provision of the food items was timely and important, stating that the community members were passing through series of difficulties before the intervention.

“We thank Hon. Mark Useni and the federal government over this gesture, it will go a long way in reducing the acute hunger we were facing at the time of hardship and the windstorm disaster, ours is to complement his efforts to remain law abiding and support the administration of President Tinubu for more dividends of democracy to come our way. Ezra stated.
