The Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has opened a new secretariat to ensure effective administration ahead of the state’s forthcoming local government elections.

The acting state secretary of the party, Adegbaju Celestina, who disclosed this to newsmen in Osogbo at the weekend, said the enthusiasm displayed by Osun people to join the party, having realised that it is the only hope for the masses, informed the need for a more conducive secretariat ahead of the local government elections and subsequent ones.

According to him, the secretariat they used before was too small and could not accommodate them again, hence the need for a more spacious one where members could stay comfortably.

He noted that the new secretariat in Osogbo would be unveiled on a date that will be announced soon.

Besides, Adegbaju disclosed that the leadership of NNPP in the state has embarked on a tour of all the local governments in the state to unveil their offices.

According to him, this exercise will bring the party closer to the people at the grassroots and facilitate membership registration at the local level.

Adegbaju further disclosed that the first council office to be unveiled is that of Obokun local government, located at Oke-Ese Street, Ibokun, Osun State.
