The convicts include 25-year-old Joshua Anamali and Nelson Adoh, 30, who have now been sent to the Custodial Centre in Kwale to serve their terms.

The defendants were arrested by policemen during a ‘stop-and-search’ operation on January 27, 2021, at Ndemili in Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State where the exhibit was recovered from them.

The presiding Judge, Justice O. F Enenmo found the two men guilty of the charge of illegal possession of firearms and consequently sentenced them.

The Prosecuting Counsel, Mrs Catherine Oboreruomo called two witnesses who testified in the case against the Defendants who defended themselves during the trial.
