Senator Malam-Madori, in a statement in Abuja, praised the IGP and his men for their restraint, civility and professionalism in responding to the protests, which he said is consistent with the best practices of modern policing.

He said, “I want to commend the Inspector General of Police and his officers for the professional manner in handling the #EndBadGovernance protests which have been taking place across the country.

“Their commitment to professionalism even in the face of threats associated with the protests is commendable and a reflection of their unwavering commitment to the safety of Nigerians and the protection of their fundamental rights.” Senator Malam-Madori emphasized that there is a need for the police to continue to adhere to the ethics of civil engagement as the protests continue.
