Paris Olympics: Gabby Thomas Claims Women’s 200m Gold As Nigeria’s Ofili Finishes 6th

United States’ Gabby Thomas claimed a sensational women’s 200m gold in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics at the Stade de France on Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old won bronze (200m) and silver (4x100m) at Tokyo 2020, but has now claimed top spot on the podium after beating Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred (silver) and Brittany Brown of USA (bronze) to the finish line in a rapid time of 21.83 seconds.

Team Nigeria’s Favour Ofili finished sixth in the final of the women’s 200m as Gabby Thomas spirited into gold medal.

Thomas crossed the finish line in 21.83s ahead of 100m Olympic champion Julien Afred from Saint Lucia, who finished in a time of 22.08s. USA’s Brittany Brown was third in 22.20s
