Former political office holders in Kano, both state and national, under the immediate past government of Abdullahi Ganduje, have formed a forum to alleviate hardship among citizens called the APC Strong Forum.
The forum, led by the former managing director of the Kano State Water Board, Dr Garba Ahmad, distributed 2,481 10kg bags of rice yesterday.
While addressing journalists, he explained that the rice was donated by the executive director of the National Rural Electrification Agency, Abba Ganduje, to support the forum in its activities.
“The forum comprises former APC political office holders in Kano, including commissioners, managing directors, special assistants, legislators, and others.
“We call it the APC Strong Forum made up of all the political office holders, as I mentioned, under the immediate past government of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
“The forum is meant to assist the public in alleviating the hardship that Nigerians face.
“We therefore formed the forum to assist in alleviating the suffering of the masses in Kano state irrespective of their political inclinations.
“This particular gesture is donated by Abba Ganduje, the executive director of the National Rural Electrification Agency, and 2,841 persons will benefit from it within Kano state.
“Being that the APC is the strongest party, not only in Nigeria, but in Africa, and its position as a leading political party, everyone is eligible to benefit, irrespective of their inclinations,” he stated.
