Yobe, iMMAP Train Humanitarian Ministry Staff On Data Management, Others

The Yobe State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in collaboration with the Information Management and Mine Action Programs (iMMAP) has ornised a five-day training for the staff of the ministry on data management.

The commissioner of the ministry, Dr Mairo Ahmad Amshi has while speaking during the closing ceremony of the training in Damaturu commended iMMAP for the support describing the training as an important exercise that will help in promoting efficiency in service delivery.

Dr Amshi said, “Over the past five days, our staff have undergone an intensive training program that has equipped them with essential skills and knowledge in humanitarian principles, response, data manipulation and analysis, among others.

“We thanked iMMAP for their expertise and support in delivering the training programme.”
She said the knowledge and skills acquired will enhance the performance of the staff to contribute for the effective delivery of humanitarian services in Yobe State.

The commissioner equally commended the staff for their active participation and engagement throughout the training.

“Your dedication to learning and improving your skills is a testament to your commitment to serving the people of Yobe State.

“We look forward to applying the skills and knowledge gained from this training to make a positive impact in our humanitarian response efforts” She added.

The Head of Information Management of iMMAP, Mr. Suleiman Badamasi has while speaking stated that the organisation was pleased to have had the opportunity to support the Ministry in capacity-building for the period of five days.

“We believe that strengthening the humanitarian response in Yobe State requires a collaborative approach, and we are committed to continuing our partnership with the Ministry to achieve this goal.

“Our team of experts remained committed and dedicated to providing tailored support to enhance the Ministry’s data management, analysis, and visualization capabilities. We will continue to work together.”
