Big Brother Naija reality show star, Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, popular known as Laycon, has publicly called out record producer, DJ Neptune, over alleged unpaid royalties for their collaboration in “Nobody (Icons Remix)”.

Laycon, who is the winner of the 2020 BBNaija reality TV show, featured in the visuals for the Icons Remix of Joeboy’s ‘Nobody’, a song by record producer Imohiosen Patrick, a disc jockey popularly known as DJ Neptune.

The 30-year-old rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday to express his frustration over the lack of payment of his dues nearly four years after the release of the song.

“Abeg o… @deejayneptune how far my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song though? Is it not still ready? Haba, it’s been 4 years o,” Laycon lamented, tagging DJ Neptune and music executive emPawa Africa in the tweet.

This disclosure by Laycon sparked controversy and discussion among fans, with some referencing other artists who have faced similar issues in the Nigerian music industry.

Music artiste, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, has also called out DJ Neptune in 2021 over alleged copyright infringement.

DJ Neptune has, however, not reacted or publicly responded to Laycon’s claims.
