The chairman of the association, Bala Bawaji, made the request during a courtesy visit to some media organizations in the state.

Bawaji said the association has lined up some sporting activities for individual and team events before the end of the year, hence the need to support the association to achieve the target.

He explained that the association is planning to organize a Refresher Course for its members on how to encourage economic development through sports writing.

Bawaji added that the essence of the visits was to introduce the new executives of the association, straighten the existing relationship and seek areas of collaboration in sports awareness and development.

Also speaking during the visits, state secretary of the association, Madam Elizabeth Kar, urged media heads to encourage their female staff to register with the association in order to boost women participation in sporting activities.
