Speaking during the ceremony in Dutse at the weekend, Mrs Remi Tinibu who was represented by the wife of Jigawa State governor, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi, said the empowerment package was part of the Renewed Hope Agenda which includes women empowerment.

“We are determined to empower women across the country to become self-reliant and productive for sustainable growth and development

“We believe the package given to small scale business women will help them to increase their capital for more production and profit at this critical time. I am optimistic that, for rural business women such as food vendors and other related businesses the sum of N50,000 will go a long way in supporting them,” she stated.

She assured the women that the federal government through Renewed Hope Projects would continue to provide series of intervention packages for building their capacity to compete in social and economic productivity in Nigeria.

Mrs Tinubu urged the beneficiaries from across the 27 local government areas of the state to use the money as a capital for more investment in their businesses for achieving the desired goal of reducing poverty which is prevalent among women.
