The committee, comprised of senior medical experts, is chaired by Dr Ernest Aniede, a top consultant nephrologist.

In Abuja, This was stated by the FMC’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Obadiah N.K Gana.

The critical committee is a proactive move to address the escalating incidents of kindness-related deaths in the FCT and, indeed, the country.

While the cost of treating kidney-related ailments, especially transplants, is high, the FMC is adopting measures to address the lack of expertise in the area.
