A statement by the public relations officer of the command, Buhari Hamisu, said the suspect was apprehended on September 9, 2024, at Sarki Muhammad Kabir Housing Estate, formerly known as Fatima Shema Housing Estate, after a tip-off about suspected movements.

He added that the 27-year-old corps member, serving with Aldusar Parks and Zoo, Katsina, was found with various stolen items, including a Plasma TV, ceiling fans, plates, cups and other domestic items.

During the investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the crimes and revealed that he had burgled other houses in the same estate. Some of the stolen items had already been sold.

The command recovered 35 exhibits from the suspect, including a sharp knife and pliers used as tools and weapons, affirming that the suspect will soon be charged to court for prosecution after the completion of investigations.
