An All Progressives Congress (APC) group, Kauran Gwandu Achievements Forum, said it has concluded plans to secure Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu’s nomination forms for the 2027 elections.

The group said it resolved to lead the charge for the governor’s second term because of his purposeful  performance in office within one year.

At a press briefing yesterday, the forum’s chairman, Alhaji Armiya’u Usman, said the group found it necessary to speak on the achievements of the Gwandu-led administration, adding that he has done well so far to earn a second term in office.

Recalling the role played by the group in the 2023 election for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Gwandu and other party candidates, Usman said the forum is pleased that its support and other contributions have yielded the desired results as those elected under the banner of APC are currently justifying the respective mandates freely given to them by the electorates.

He said the forum will continue to support Gwandu’s administration because of its people-oriented leadership.

The chairman listed some achievements of governor to include, “multibillion Naira city roads dualisation in Birnin-Kebbi metropolis and other major centres across the state, the beautified roundabouts and the dualisation of NNPC Mega station to Ambursa Airport junction road together with others at major cities such as Yauri township and Shanga roads as laudable projects that singled out Kaura administration as a unique one, the resumption of works at Koko – Mahuta- Dabai road is yet another outstanding feat recorded by His Excellency within just a year of his leadership in the state.”

Other achievements includes; “transforming the educational sector where the administration embarked on intensive repairs, renovations and construction of schools across the state as well as payment of bursary to state indigenes studying within and outside the country, this gesture was by no means a big boost to the sector potently capable of improving the standard of education in terms of quality assurance, enrolment, attendance and completion.”

The chairman also revealed that agriculture is one area that saw the midas touch by His Excellency where fertilizer was given to the farmers across the state as well as grants of solar powered water pumps, insects and herbicides and other inputs free of charge.

The rest are remarkable positive changes since the advent of Kauran Gwandu administration including health, economy and peoples empowerment, security, etc.
