He said Senator Tinubu, a former first lady of Lagos State, who clocks 64 today, is a passionate leader who has impacted many people positively all through her journey in private and public life.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued yesterday by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, celebrated the former three-term Senator, saying she has touched the lives of many Nigerians, especially women, since her husband assumed office as president on May 29, last year.

He said: “On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State and my adorable wife, Ibijoke, I heartily congratulate Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of our leader and president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on the occasion of her 64th birthday.

“Senator Oluremi Tinubu deserves to be celebrated, especially on her birthday, given the quality and selfless service she has rendered to our dear Lagos State and to Nigeria in different capacities both in her private and public life.

“Over the years, our amazon, has etched her name in gold as an advocate of social justice, a philanthropist, a voice of the voiceless and kindhearted person as senator, when she represented Lagos in the Red Chamber for three consecutive terms and now as first lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
