‘Do Not Sit’: A Lack Of Seating Areas

I stared at him, “So, why didn’t you guys provide seating areas in this mall anticipating this from customers??” The man shrugged still frowning, “That’s not our concern, we don’t own the mall. We are also renting a space here.”

I thought it through and still that didn’t quite cut it. “You own a place here and you cannot suggest to the Mall’s management to make available sitting areas in the mall? What sort of a business are you?” I queried. Farida was trying hard not to laugh.

The man looked at her and then at me. Ingrained he stuck the menu underneath his armpit to explain as if we cared, “This is a Lebanese restaurant ma, we don’t own the mall.”
