The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and News Central Television are set to advance economic discourse and policies, setting the stage for a transformative journey of economic prosperity.

Rising from a meeting recently, both organisations expressed their understanding of the media’s crucial role in shaping public opinion and influencing policy decisions. They believe working together amplifies their impact and accelerates Nigeria’s economic progress.

The managing director of News Central Television, Kayode Akintemi, articulated the significance of NESG’s contributions to advancing economic discourse and policies, stressing that collaborations like this can only engineer a progressive future for the Nigerian economy.

A board member and chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee at National Economic Summit 30 (NES30), Mr Udeme Ufot (MFR), eulogised the potential partnership deal. They emphasised NESG’s commitment to establishing a long-lasting relationship with News Central to ensure economic issues and empirical solutions remain at the forefront of national discourse.

The CEO of NESG, Dr Tayo Aduloju,  recounted the challenges faced by Nigeria’s economy in the past, including periods of recession and economic instability. He affirmed the NESG’s unwavering commitment to evidence-based policy and advocacy, which he believes would be instrumental in navigating Nigeria’s turbulent waters.

Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, Director of the Commercial and Communications department at News Central, expressed the station’s anticipation for a continued partnership with NESG for the upcoming summit tagged NES #30, with the hope that the collaboration will foster a strong partnership along economic and broadcast lines.
