Troops Kill 65 High Profile Terrorists Leaders In 3 Weeks -DHQ

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has said troops eliminated 65 high profile terrorist leaders across theaters of operations nationwide in three months.

The director, defence media operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, disclosed this yesterday during the biweekly update on military operations between July to September 2024.

He said troops overall killed 1,937 terrorists, arrested 2,782 and rescued 1854 hostages.
General Buba said troops recovered 1,304 weapons,43,347 ammunitions and recovered stolen crude worth N13,081,605,534.00

He said the armed forces within the period prioritised the killing of terrorist leaders and destruction of terrorist networks in its ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations across the country.

He named terrorists leaders killed to include: Munzir Arika, Sani Dilla (Dan Hausawan Jubillaram), Ameer Modu, Matawal Bitrus, Thomas Benedict, Mohammed Sani, Rimamy (aka Omo), Terkimbi Injoko, Jacob Uzege, Ibn Kasir, Kachalla Ɗan Baleri, Kachallah Halilu Jimmare (Buzu), Kachalla Dan Ali Garin Fadama, Kachalla Dan Mani Na Inna, Kachalla Basiru Zakarriya and ofem Emmanuel Igwe among others.
