They pleaded guilty to the two count charges which bordered on disturbing public peace and inciting disturbances, which contravened sections 113 and 114 of the Penal Code.

The prosecutor, inspector Mohammed Bello Beji requested the presiding chief magistrate to try them summarily and convict them in accordance with section 157 of the criminal procedure code (CPC) after they pleaded guilty.

The police authorities in Niger State command had some times in January, 2022, arrested the teenagers on the allegations of inciting disturbance, rioting, armed robbery, culpable homicide among other heinous offences that caused restiveness in Minna the state capital.
