Air Peace Wins Award Over Contribution To Aviation Sector Devt

Air Peace airline was, on Sunday, awarded the prestigious Outstanding Brand of the Year award at the 21st Anniversary of Marketing Edge during its Edge Awards 2024.

The airline was awarded for its exceptional contributions to the Nigerian aviation industry, innovative spirit, its relentless pursuit of excellence across Africa and beyond.

In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, the chairman of the airline, Dr. Allen Onyema, was also honoured with the Brand Personality of the Year award.

According to the statement, Onyema was awarded for his transformative leadership, nationalistic efforts, and corporate philanthropy.

Air Peace, it was gathered, was celebrated for its exceptional contributions to the Nigerian aviation industry, its innovative spirit, and its relentless pursuit of excellence across Africa and beyond.

The statement said the accolades recognises not only Onyema’s strategic leadership in revolutionising air travel in West Africa but also his remarkable nationalistic exploits and corporate philanthropy.

 

“Dr. Onyema’s nationalistic endeavours include his role in fostering unity through his numerous peace advocacy initiatives, such as funding peace missions across Nigeria and Africa, aimed at promoting harmonious coexistence.

 

“His corporate philanthropy extends to providing free airlift for stranded Nigerians in crisis situations, including evacuating Nigerian citizens during xenophobic attacks in South Africa and bringing COVID-19 vaccines into the country during the pandemic.

 

“His unwavering commitment to nation-building and societal welfare has positioned him as a trailblazer, inspiring change beyond the aviation industry.

 

Receiving the award on behalf of Air Peace, the airline’s Head of Sales and Business Development, Davids Odeyemi, expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of Marketing Edge for recognizing the airline’s transformative journey in challenging the status quo. In his remarks, he reaffirmed Air Peace’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of air travel in Nigeria and across Africa.
