The event in Abuja highlighted the APC government’s successes while addressing concerns raised by party supporters.

The Convener of the Coalition of All APC Support Groups and National Leader of the Unified Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Niyi Adebayo Jr, emphasised the need for patience as the government works through the governance challenges.

“What we aim for today is to celebrate the success of democracy and the achievements of our great party, the APC. We want to send a message to Nigerians that within the APC, democracy is celebrated,” said Adebayo

He acknowledged concerns from some support groups who feel overlooked but urged them to remain patient.

“It’s not easy to govern a populous nation like Nigeria, and we don’t expect President Tinubu to perform miracles overnight,” he said, adding that the administration remains committed to addressing their concerns.

Adebayo further outlined several of the government’s achievements, including improvements in the security sector, economic growth marked by increasing internally generated revenue, and decreased foreign debt.

He also noted the progress in infrastructure development, particularly in road construction, and the positive impact of student loan programs on education.

Looking ahead to the upcoming local government elections in Rivers, Jigawa, and Kwara states, Adebayo Jr expressed confidence in the APC’s chances, particularly in Rivers State, where the party is “strongly positioned.”

The Chairman of the Finance Committee and National Security Protocol Officer for the Unified Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Henry Nnorom, echoed similar sentiments, praising President Tinubu’s leadership and the APC’s ongoing efforts to address Nigeria’s challenges.

“Today’s conference is a happy day for everyone in Nigeria. The APC leadership is doing well, and while it takes time to turn around an economy, we are fully behind the president,” Nnorom stated.

He further emphasised that Nigeria’s youth concerns will be addressed head-on when the promised youth conference materialises.

Meanwhile, the Director of Admin for the Coalition of All APC Support Groups, Hon Asiwaju Sunmonu, reiterated the importance of support groups in the political process, stressing that their role extends beyond elections.

“We are here to inform the public that President Tinubu’s administration is on the right track and will benefit all Nigerians. We need to give them time,” Sunmonu said.

The conference concluded with a strong message of optimism and solidarity among the APC support groups. They pledged continued support for the government while encouraging the public to trust the party’s ongoing programs and policies.
