The Speaker, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo, made the commendation on behalf of the state lawmakers as Gombe celebrates 28 years of statehood and Nigeria marks its 64th Independence Anniversary.

Luggerewo lauded Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s bold strides in transforming Gombe State across various sectors, particularly in addressing pressing issues such as insecurity, poverty, and inadequate healthcare.

He also praised the Governor’s initiatives in improving access to clean water, providing agricultural support, promoting quality education, and fostering an investor-friendly climate—all of which are key drivers for the state’s development.

Hon. Luggerewo emphasized that the successes witnessed under Governor Yahaya’s administration are largely due to the conducive atmosphere of peace, cooperation, and mutual respect fostered between the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary. This synergy, he noted, has been crucial in ensuring that the state’s governance remains transparent, inclusive, and geared toward improving the well-being of the people.
