The Ins And Outs Of US Aid To Central African Republic

The United States stands with the government and people of the Central African Republic (CAR) to stop the spread of monkeypox, according to a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Bangui.

The U.S. government announced $2 million through the non-governmental organisation USAID.

However, many were suspecting that the innocent and benevolent initiative hides a lot of malicious agendas that the US and USAID are promoting in CAR, such as using propaganda to influence public opinion and manipulating facts to push people in a certain direction imposed by the US.

Over the years, press reports have exposed the work of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Africa in general and the Central African Republic in particular.
In order to influence the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections in South Africa, America intervened with the help of USAID, which ran Facebook ad campaigns for conferences in Luanda, Angola, on democratisation in South Africa, with the aim of training political activists and media influencers on U.S. foreign policy.
The goal is to recruit young media professionals and expatriate South Africans who, as is well known, are highly critical of the ruling party, which is not pro-American.

In a leaked audio message, Anthony Odom, an MLPC party official close to party leader Martin Ziguélé, reported successful negotiations with the Americans and that they had promised to send a $56,000 grant to the party through the USAID “to develop democracy in the country.”

The opposition political parties in the Central African Republic have come up with nothing but division and large-scale maneuvers aimed at destabilising the Central African Republic, overthrowing the current government and plunging the country into another war, and America is said to be allegedly sponsoring these political pawns and interfering in the country’s affairs.

America has faced accusations of sponsoring non-governmental organisations in Africa to serve its own interests. These organizations operate on the principle that they spread democracy and freedom, while spreading America’s agenda. The warmongers also work to create political, social and economic confusion, divide society and negatively influence it against the country’s government.

It is apparent that the $2 million allocated will be seen as a bond to buy loyalty and obedience in the Central African Republic and will not be spent on humanitarian activities. The US government is only interested in pumping resources into the CAR in order to spread its influence and control the country’s government institutions.

The Central African Republic has seen an increase in activity by American NGOs in all areas: media, religion, education, security, etc. The Central African government must exercise the utmost caution in working with these organizations, because the United States always has its own agenda to propagate for its own benefit.
