In a statement, the company donated various assistive learning devices. It covered the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for Senior Secondary School 3 students, reaffirming its dedication to inclusive education and supporting individuals with special needs.

According to the company, the donation was made by Temitope Ashiwaju, group corporate communications and event manager at Dufil Prima Foods LTD, who was received by the school’s principal, Olusegun Oregbesan.

“Present at the handover ceremony were the Chairman of the Nigeria Association of the Blind, Oyo State Chapter, Olufemi Ojeniyi, along with the vice principal and senior staff of the school. Assistive devices donated include Braille machines, typewriters, digital recorders, mobility canes and much more—essential tools that will enhance the learning experience of visually impaired students. In addition, Dufil Prima Foods took on the responsibility of paying WAEC fees for SS3 students, ensuring that financial constraints do not obstruct their educational aspirations.” the statement read.

Commenting on the initiative, Ashiwaju highlighted the challenges visually impaired students face in accessing quality education. “We recognize these students’ unique obstacles, including limited resources and specialised tools. This has motivated us to extend our support,” he said. “This effort is part of our broader CSR strategy, which has seen us carry out similar initiatives nationwide, including at the Pacelli School of the Blind. We also participate in the annual World Cane Day celebration.”

The school principal, Olusegun Oregbesan, expressed deep appreciation for the generous gesture. He said, “It is encouraging to see a company like Dufil Prima Foods thinking of our students’ needs without us even asking. Your thoughtfulness has renewed our energy to do more for these children.”
