In a significant transition for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Kadiri Edah has officially taken over as the director, calling for integrity and dedication from staff.

Edah, who recently succeeded Mallam Abubakar Adamu Evuti, delivered his address during his inauguration in Abuja and stressed the importance of honesty and accountability in discharging official responsibilities.

He urged all employees to protect the image of the Board, the FCT administration, and the nation through their conduct.

“Dedication to duty is paramount. We cannot afford any actions that tarnish the reputation we aim to uphold,” Edah stated.

He expressed his expectation for collaboration among staff and stakeholders to ensure a successful and efficient Hajj operation, aligned with the current administration’s goals.

While addressing issues of corruption and indiscipline, Edah clarified that such behaviour would not be tolerated within the Board.

He affirmed his commitment to enhancing the management and welfare of pilgrims, promising first-class service to the FCT contingents during the Hajj season.

“Your welfare is my priority, but I expect commitment to handling the affairs of the pilgrims with the utmost integrity,” he urged the gathered staff, echoing sentiments of teamwork and shared responsibility in achieving their collective mission.
