He also  disclosed that there was no crisis in the party again.

Addressing party supporters in Akure, the Ondo state capital during the official flag-off ceremony of the 2024 Ondo state PDP governorship election campaign, the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum stated that those trying to create crises are trying to make Nigeria a one-party state.

Mohammed vowed that the party leaders and members of the party across the country will not allow the country to be turned into a one-party state.

He said, “There is no crisis in the PDP. Those trying to create crises are trying to make Nigeria a one-party state, but the PDP will not allow that to happen.”

On the governorship election, the Governor of Bauchi State said, “Ondo is a home of knowledge. Education started here, and it is still on the rise. We do not condone injustice. All the PDP governors are with you. We are tired of hunger. We are going to get Ekiti; we’ll win in Ondo State, and we will also get Ogun State and Lagos State.

“Everyone should go out and deliver for Agboola Ajayi and his deputy. There is no time for sleeping. We will deliver ourselves from the shackles of poverty and hunger.

While handing over the flag of the party to the candidate of the PDP in the state, the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, noted that there is a growing hunger in the land and the people of the state must deliver themselves from the grip of APC to stop the hunger.

Damagum said, No good roads, there is growing hunger in the land. An opportunity has come to you again in Ondo to change hunger and poverty. This APC has already killed everybody with hunger.”

Also, the Oyo State governor and leader of PDP in Southwest, Engr. Seyi Makinde urged the people not to sell their votes come the November 16th governorship election.

Makinde said, “We’ve seen what vote buying and selling have led us to. If they come to you, don’t sell your votes.  We can’t allow you to suffer for another four years in Ondo State. You can see the dividends of democracy in Oyo, Osun, and other PDP states in Nigeria.  This is the beginning of the victory party for PDP in Ondo State.

Present at the campaign include,  Senator Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, the Governor of Osun State and Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for Ondo State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, former governor of Ebonyi state, Senator Sam Egwu , Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, former deputy governor of Ekiti State, Senator Abiodun Olujimi, Acting National Chairman of the party, Umar Damagum and members of the NWC of the party, among others.
