“This expo is a commendable initiative that showcases the best of Nigeria’s interior and furniture design industries, fostering creativity and innovation.”

Masari highlighted the importance of supporting local designers, artisans, and manufacturers, stating, “Their unique skills and ingenuity deserve international recognition. This expo provides them the platform to display their work, attract investments, and create new business opportunities for the younger generation.”

He stressed the need for entrepreneurship, skill development, and innovation to address the challenges of Nigeria’s growing population. “The interior and furniture industry, through collaboration between government agencies and the private sector, can become a powerhouse for economic growth in Nigeria.”

On his part, the executive secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono pointed out that Nigeria once had a vibrant furniture industry.

He called for a return to the basics by involving educational institutions to provide training in areas such as interior decoration, landscape design, and facilities management.

Echono emphasized the need for investment in modern equipment and resources to enhance the quality of locally produced furniture, allowing local manufacturers to compete with international standards.

“By producing skilled professionals from our polytechnics and universities and improving our technology, we can create quality products that meet global standards,” Echono added.

He called for collaboration between the government and private sector to support entrepreneurs and strengthen Nigeria’s furniture industry.
