The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III has said the 2023 election is the most important elections yet in Nigeria and for the Nigerian people.

His Royal Highness (HRH) spoke during the courtesy call of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) led by the party’s vice presidential candidate, Pastor Isaac Idahosa, to the traditional chief in Abuja.

Stressing the importance of the upcoming election, the royalty highlighted Nigerians interest to perform their civic duties in the coming elections and expressed optimism that this time around they have done the necessary background work to ensure they make the right decision come 2023.

“It is good to see that all Nigerians are up and doing concerning their civic responsibilities. Our hope is that they are better informed this time around, taking their time to know all the candidates, all the parties, all their manifestoes, and what it is they are proposing to make well informed decisions.”

Responding to NNPP’s call for his support and guidance towards achieving its goals for Nigeria, Ogiame Atuwatse III said it is his duty to give everyone a fair hearing.

He, however added, “As your name suggests, New Nigeria Peoples Party, it is our prayer that indeed A New Nigeria will emerge. I think all over the world there is a general shift happening, and by the grace of God, Nigeria will not be different, and we will not miss this golden opportunity so that we are not left behind as the the assembly of nations move forward.”

Earlier in his address to the traditional chief, the NNPP vice presidential candidate, Pastor Isaac Idahosa said among the party’s several agenda, it aims to ‘create a new version of Nigeria, where everybody feels included, will belong and every part of the country feel the presence of governance, in addition to tackling security challenges and proffering solutions to Nigeria’s suffering economy’.

As an individual, the bishop of the God First Ministry Inc. (Illumination Assembly) said he is bringing to the table the fear of God into the nation.

“There is so much division today. What Nigeria needs to day is to get God involved, then seek for the unity, and healing for the wounded and hurting Nigerians. We can improve. There can be better than this.”
