The committee has a one-month ultimatum to deliver its report on the wage increase harmonisation.
Disclosing this to Journalists in Uyo, the State capital, on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, listed other members of the committee, including; Chairman, Local Government Service Commission (LGSC); Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance; Permanent Secretary, Department of Establishments.

Meanwhile, the Abia State government has approved the payment of the new national minimum wage of N70,000 to workers starting this month.

The information commissioner, Okey Kanu, announced this in Umuahia, the capital, after this week’s executive council meeting, which the governor, Alex Otti, chaired.
