BBNaija: Kassia, Kellyrae Share Secrets Behind Keeping Their Marriage Under Wraps

BBNaija Season 9 winners, Kassia and Kellyrae, recently discussed their experience in the Big Brother Naija house during an interview on TVC’s Esplash segment.

The couple, who were married prior to entering the house, revealed how they managed to keep their relationship under wraps from their housemates.

Kellyrae emphasized that discipline was crucial to their strategy. They focused on the competition’s prize and reminded themselves that their stay in the house was temporary.

They presented themselves as close friends to build stronger relationships with their housemates, believing this would increase their chances of winning.

“First of all, discipline. You have to always remind yourself where you’re coming from and know where you’re going. It’s better to stay dirty for a while than to stay clean for the rest of your life. If we needed to be that way, even for a year, it would have been worth it,” Kellyrae explained.
He also mentioned the challenges they faced, particularly with Kassia’s touchy nature early on. “I had to remind her not to call me ‘baby,’ but by the end, she was the one reminding me to calm down.”

Kassia shared that participating in Big Brother Naija was a long-time dream of Kellyrae’s, while she was initially hesitant to audition. Eventually, with encouragement from a friend, they decided to give it a shot and were surprised to be selected.

“Going to the house was always his dream, not mine. He had given up on auditioning after several attempts, but a friend persuaded us, and we were surprised to get picked,” she said.
