The governor made this known yesterday in Yola during an interface with Kilba communities.

The programme, better known as ‘Business Grants’, is to build resilient businesses and foster economic growth among residents of the state.

The governor assured that the beneficiaries would receive the support between now and December, 2024, to create new opportunities and strengthen livelihoods across communities.

Addressing concerns about salaries of civil servants, Fintiri refuted claims of illegal deductions.

He clarified that the PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax is a standard deduction and explained that the state government had not deducted taxes for two months until the last month, following the implementation of the new minimum wage.

Governor Fintiri, who also received a request for the creation of the Huba chiefdom, promised to study the request and consider its merits.

The governor reassured Adamawa residents of his administration’s commitment to positive change, security and progress.

“The best is yet to come,” he said, reaffirming his dedication to delivering his mandate and taking Adamawa to the promised land.
