Deputy Senate President Loses Police Aide In Accident

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has mourned the death of one of his drivers, Corporal Barde Nuhu, who died in an accident while on his way to visit his family in Niger State.

Barde died on Saturday in a car accident while travelling to Shata village in Bosso local government area of Niger State.

Senator Barau, in a statement by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, on Sunday, said the late driver was a dedicated and committed police officer who discharged his duties diligently to the best of his ability.

Senator Barau extended his condolences to Barde’s immediate family and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) over the loss.

“With a heavy heart but total submission to the will of Allah SWT, I mourn the passing of CPL Barde Nuhu, who died in a car accident while on his way to Bosso LGA in Niger State. He was a hardworking, dedicated and committed Police officer. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdausi,” he said.

On Sunday, Senator Barau sent a high-powered delegation to Shata, the hometown of the deceased police officer in Boso LGA, Niger State, for a condolence visit.

The delegation, led by Senator Barau’s Aide De Camp, SP Abdulrahman Baba Garba, commiserated with the family of the late police corporal.

The delegation met the wife, children and parents of the late police officer. During the visit, prayers were offered for the repose of the Police officer.

“The deputy president of the Senate donated money to support the family of the late police officer,” the statement added.
